Zubair Mughal – Founder of School Kits
Why I Started School Kits
Like many parents and teachers, Zubair saw how stressful and expensive back-to-school shopping could be. He founded School Kits with one goal: to make the process easier, more affordable, and more impactful for families and schools.
Background & Experience
With a professional background as a software engineer and a passion for building solutions that help communities, Zubair brings both technical expertise and hands-on business leadership. Since 2022, he has led School Kits from Houston, partnering directly with schools and delivering thousands of supply kits to students every year.
What Drives Him
For Zubair, this business is personal—it’s about helping kids walk into school prepared, supporting teachers, and giving families one less thing to worry about.

Outside of School Kits, you’ll likely find Zubair experimenting on his Big Green Egg grill, working out, or spending time with his family.
Osama Gendra – Founder of School Kits
Role at School Kits
Osama ensures that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes—from planning orders to coordinating logistics—so that every kit arrives on time and ready for the classroom. His detail-oriented approach helps schools trust that nothing will be missed.
Background & Experience
Osama holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston and brings years of experience in engineering and project management from his work with major firms like Kiewit. His strong background in estimating, logistics, and operations makes him a natural fit for keeping School Kits organized and efficient.
What Drives Him
Beyond his technical expertise, Osama cares deeply about community. He has been involved in relief efforts, including fundraising for hurricane-affected families in Libya, showing that his commitment to helping others goes well beyond work.
